 Once again I am indebted to Pool Bridge Farm for donating the use of two of their lakes for a couple of fishing matches to be held on Saturday 10^th May. A conventional match will be held on the 35 peg Horseshoe Lake with cash prizes. The match that’s attracting the interest is a 15 peg event on Norman’s which is strictly for beginners.  The prizes will be fishing tackle and due to the support given to this event by Roy Marlow, Keith Arthur and Dr Bruno Broughton we are hopeful that there will be a lot of angling related prizes, perhaps even enough to reward every contestant and have a tackle raffle/auction on the day of the event. Thanks again to Michael and Stephen Fletcher for letting us use the lake and good luck to Sarah Butler who has never fished in her life but Graham will coach her over the next couple of months and he reckons that she’ll win the novices match – any challengers?
